Meet our Eco Council
We are Ysgol Penrhyn’s Eco Council. At the start of every school year each pupil has the opportunity to stand as a candidate in the Eco Council election. Every child votes and the two children with the most votes from each class become Eco Councilors.
The Eco Council aims to give the children a voice. It allows them to express their opinions and ask questions. It gives children the opportunity to be listened to and for them to organise appropriate action. Council members take suggestions, made by their classmates, to meetings where they are discussed and decided upon by a vote.
